1. What is the most important concept you learned this semester? Explain the concept briefly and discuss why it is important.
-One of the most important concepts that I have learned this year was the act of taking the initiative. I had to make sure that I had my stuff together, the teachers shouldn't have to make sure we're on the right track or actually doing it. It took me a while to to choose the type of media I wanted to use, but after I got that down it was smooth sailing. After I got my project done I have been discussing with someone on her blog on starting up a Humman Trafficking campaign. So we're choosing to take the first step to making a dfference.
2. From all the new knowledge you gained in this class, choose 2 facts or ideas that make the biggest impression on you. Explain.
-I think that the concept of there is is alwaysa bigger picture, and somehow everything's all connected. This idea really made me think about everything more in depth. The other "idea" isthe web. I never really used the web the way this class taught me how I could use it. There is so much out there, so many blogs, and so many different ideas on issues in our world today. It's just so fascinating.
3. What 3 skills will you take from this class, and how will you use them in the future? -The first skill was how to properly research. Instead of getting random sites that somewhat pertain to what you're researching, you can just put the + symbol before a word and you'll get everything that actually pertains to your research. The second one was hyperlinking a text, and obviously I could use that school in college. The third one was posting things on the Internet, I could use this skill for social reasons and academic reasons.
4. Look at __the 4 global competencies (objectives) for the course__. Which objective do you feel you developed to the greatest degree?
What did you learn about that objective, how did you learn it, and why does it matter in the world? -I think the objective that I feel i developed to the greatest degree was Take Action. By getting my thought out there in the web, I've recieved some feedback on wanting to start up a campaign against Human Trafficking and that is currently in the works! It matters tothe world because we'll e making a difference in someone's life who has been afftected by Human Trafficking.
5. What does it mean to be a global leader in the 21st century? -I think it means that in order to be a fully efficient global leader, you should take advantage of the Internet because it connects the world together. And you can use that to your advantage. By putting your opinions out there, you might just get some feedback from someone across the world from you!
